President Richard Nixon, center right, shakes hands with French President Georges Pompidou at a dinner last night in New York's Waldorf-Astoria. At Pompidou's right is Tricia Nixon and at Nixon's left is Mrs. Pompidou. President Nixon flew to New York to convey his regrets to President Pompidou over the demonstrations the French leader has encountered during his visit to this country.
