Six-foot-tall delta winged space glider rides atop a Thor-Delta rocket that blazes away from Cape Kennedy today. Glider flew a 13,300 -mile-an-hour suborbital course to test materials which might be used on future manned spaceships which will maneuver and land like airplanes. The winged research craft landed in the Atlantic Ocean about 2,750 miles southeast of Cape.
