Description
A Thor-Delta rocket lifts from its launch pad at Cape Canaveral today, in an attempt to put a Solar Observatory into orbit around the earth. If successful the satellite will make extensive studies of how solar radiation affects weather and other conditions on earth and the threat it poses to man in space travel.
