1974 Press Photo Released kidnap victim Reg Murphy with family in Atlanta, GA

Atlanta Constitution Editor Reg Murphy and his family display their happiness while talking with the news media following his release by kidnappers. The newspaper paid $700,000 for his release. At left is his wife, Virginia. Leaning her head on Murphy's shoulder is daughter Karen, 17. "I'm all right but I don't feel very good. I'm kind of shaky," Murphy said after he gained his freedom Friday night. He was kidnapped Wednesday night by a group which called itself the "American Revolutionary Army."
