1975 Press Photo Pakistan's K-2 expedition team go over plans at base camp

Several members of a 10-man expedition team to over plans recently at their base camp situated at 19,000 feet up on K-2 peak, the world's second highest mountain, near Islamabad, Pakistan. The team headed by Jim Whittaker of Seattle, is attempting to scale the 28,250-foot-high peak. Expedition began in late April. Picture was received Monday in Islamabad.
