1968 Press Photo Bank embezzler Richard Clark Palmer sits in TX police station

Richard Clark Palmer, 28, of Weststock Bridge, Massachusetts, sits meekly at Police Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, after surrendering to police and turning in some $41,800 which he said was part of some $63,000 embezzled from the Pittsfield National Bank where he worked in Pittsfield. Police said a warrant charging Palmer with embezzlement was issued by the U.S. attorney in Massachusetts.
