1960 Press Photo Richard Palmer taken into custody for fatal shooting in CT

Richard Palmer, 39, of Willimantic, is escorted by officer here today after he was taken into custody by state police following fatal shootings of a man and a woman during an ice fishing party at Neal's Pond. Victims were identified as John Fugedi, 40, and Mrs. Helen Yousman, 49, both of Willimantic. State police said Palmer told them he shot the pair out of jealousy after he saw them kissing, and that he had been going out with Mrs. Yousman for several months.
