Mrs. M. Palmer, above, President of Chicago Suburban Oak Park-River Forest Symphony, said today African American violinist Carol Anderson, 23, previously barred from appearing with the group has been invited to perform as a guest member at a concert February 17. Mrs. Palmer's refusal to allow Miss Anderson to join the amateur group led to the resignation of Milton Preves, orchestra director. The decision of symphony board to reverse its stand after a meeting between Mrs. Palmer and clergymen in the suburbs.
