Sidney Blalock, Sevierville, Tennessee, and Thomas Sparks, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, watch as radar unit scans the sky during 30-day maneuvers at Bakalar Air Force Base. The two men are members of the Tennessee Air National Guard. They are among the more than 30,000 men from 30 states participating in the maneuvers. The headquarters for the training maneuvers is at Bakalar Air Force Base.
