Conservative legislator Enoch Powell, who recently announced he would not stand as a candidate in the forthcoming election, kisses his wife goodbye at their London home Saturday as he leaves for Birmingham, England, to speak at an anti-Common Market meeting. Powell accused Conservative party leader Edward Heath of betraying the nation by taking Britain into the Common Market. He also hinted that Britons should vote for the opposition Labor party as the only way to retain theri sovereignty.
