Bertram A. Powers, head of the striking printers union, strikes a pensive pose today after a mediation session of more than two hours in New York today with representatives of the city's idled newspapers. Powers reported "no progress" in negotiations to end the 40-day walkout which has deprived New Yorkers of all their regular daily papers.
