1959 Press Photo Manuel Quesada and wife leave Justice of Peace Trevino's office

Mr. Manuel Quesada, 55, and his common-law wife, Mrs. Francisco Martinez Quesada, 39, are escorted to Justice of Peace Albert Trevino today where he set their bonds at $10,000 each. The Quesada's were charged with murder after they allegedly allowed their 2-months old son to die of starvation. During the preliminary hearing neither parent showed any remorse over the death, only arguing over whose fault it was. Mrs. Quesada claiming her husband wouldn't work, Mr. Quesada said his wife and her mother chased him away from the house and he couldn't see the children. They have had 11 children in 13 years, giving 8 away.
