1967 Press Photo Hungarian diplomat Janos Radvanyi asks for asylum in U.S.

Janos Radvanyi, top ranking Hungarian diplomat to the Unite States, has asked for asylum in this country. Radvanyi, whose rank was charge d'affaires, "has decided that he wishes to become a permanent resident of the United States," State Department press officer Robert J. McCloskey announced Wednesday.
