1971 Press Photo Frank Nubin leaves state prison office with wife and attorney

Ex-convict Frank Nubin, left, accompanied by his wife, Earnice, right, and is attorney Mrs. Salle Soladay, second from right, looks upward with eyes closed after leaving the office of the state's prison chief where he was informed he was being allowed to remain free on parole. Nubin who had been out of prison for 22 months was ordered back to prison when it was discovered he was released early because of a typographical error. He had been working as an ironworker in Berkeley since his release and had a clean record.
