1968 Press Photo Senators Percy and Dirksen meet at GOP convention in Florida

Greeting each other in Miami Beach Sunday are Charles H. Percy (left) and Everett M. Dirksen, the junior and senior Senators from Illinois. Both are in Miami Beach for the Republican National Convention starting Monday. Percy has come out for Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller of New York for the party's presidential nominee, but Dirksen says he won't reveal his choice until after he presents the platform to the convention. Dirksen is chairman of the Platform Committee.
