Discussing their motion to suspend the trial to investigate Federal Bureau of Investigation electronic surveillance which was denied by Federal District Court Judge Winston Arnow are Gainesville Eight defendant William Patterson and the chief defense attorney, Morton Starvis. The discussion with the press came during the noon recess of the trial of the Gainesville Eight, who are charged with disrupting activities during the 1972 Republican National Convention in Miami Beach.
