1964 Press Photo Thomas Novak arraigned for practice medicine without license

Thomas M. Novak, 29, who has been charged with practicing medicine without a license in an alleged four-year stint as a doctor with earnings of $150,000. Michigan Attorney General Frank Kelly said it was "one of the most fantastic stories of deception in the state's medical history." Novak is pictured at his arraignment Tuesday when he stood mute and was released under $2,500 bond.
