Melissa Parker, 6, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Parker of Alexandria, Louisiana, turned safety conscious Tuesday while visiting her grandparents in Lake Charles. Melissa saw a wreck in Lake Charles so she decided to design this sign to plant on the front lawn of her grandparents' home. The sign reads, "Please People Don't Have Wrecks."

Photo is dated 1970.

Photo measures 6 x 10.75 inches.
