British Royal Marines disembark from a helicopter near Tromso, in northern Norway recently during a North Atlantic Treaty Organization exercise to demonstrate the organization's ability to defend Norway in face of an attack. The exercise, one of the largest in NATO's history, involved about 64,000 men, including U.S. Marines, 300 ships and some 700 aircraft.
