Air Force Staff Sgt. Tors Olson, 20, of Laurens, New York is feeling "fine" following what is believed to be the first successful "washout" of a patient's bloodstream. Wilford Hall Hospital surgeons completely replaced his diseased blood after putting him in bloodless suspended animation for nearly 10 minutes recently.
