Senator Edward M. Kennedy is expected to face public questioning about the death of Mary Jo Kopechne in the inquest that opens in Edgartown, Massachusetts, on September 3. The purpose of the inquest is to shed more light on the case. Summonses have been mailed out to 21 prospective witnesses.
