Edward L. Morgan, a former White House lawyer, pleaded guilty Friday in Washington to a charge stemming from preparation of former President Richard Nixon's 1969 tax return. The charge resulted from Morgan's role in backdating the deed on Nixon's gift of pre-presidential papers to the government. A 1972 photo.
