The man beneath the pirate's hat, complete with skull and crossbones, is none other than Senator Everett Jordan (D-NC). Letting his senatorial dignity drop for a moment, he posed today in his Washington office to promote a home state project, the 6th annual Pirate's Jamboree April 29-May 1 at Nags Head, North Carolina. His callers also presented him with replicas of "pieces of eight" which he displays.
