1961 Press Photo Soviet's Anastas Mikoyan addresses East Berlin rally

Soviet Deputy Premier Anastas I. Mikoyan, right, addresses open-air rally in East Berlin today in which he offered Russia's "most effective guarantees" for a free city of West Berlin. At left is Walter Ulbricht, East German Communist Party boss. Mikoyan spoke at the rally celebrating the 12th anniversary of the founding of the East German Communist People's Republic.
