Acting Italian President Giuseppe Merzagora drives to Quirinale Palace in Rome tonight to discuss selection of a successor to President Antonio Sagni, who resigned today due to illness. Merzagora, acting as chief of state for Segni since he was stricken August 10, called Parliament to meet December 16 to elect a new president.
