Description
Meat department and store managers were beginning to play defense in New Orleans today--in the face of an apparently effective meat boycott offensive by housewives harassed by high prices. The opening weekday of a planned week-long boycott found meat displays down to a minimum with managers labeling them "a setup" and "just covering the racks." Plenty of meat, but no customers, typical supermarket scene today.

Photo is dated 1973.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
