Curtis E. LeMay, the 61-year-old retired U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff, is said to be the top choice as presidential candidate George C. Wallace's running mate. Wallace says he will announce his choice Thursday at a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania news conference. LeMay arrived in Pittsburgh Wednesday night where he refused to talk to newsmen.
