Description
Harvey James Miller, 35, Baton Rouge engineer, is shown sitting 125 feet above ground in the Mississippi River Bridge in New Orleans, where he threatened to jump while police were seeking him for questioning in the death of his wife last night. Shown at railing above, in dark garb, is the Reverend Peter Rogers, OMI Chaplain for the police and fire departments, who talked Miller into leaving his suicidal perch. Then Miller went to confession at a nearby Catholic church, and police returned him to Baton Rouge where he was booked with murder.
