Israel's Prime Minister Golda Meir listens Monday as members of the Knesset, or Israeli parliament, debate the government's devaluation of the Israeli pound. The Knesset ultimately voted to approve both the 20 per cent devaluation, the government put into effect Sunday, and emergency laws to control subsequent price rises.
