Laurie Lea Schaefer, Miss America, 1972, and John Lurie, both of Columbus, Ohio today announced their engagement at the Miss America Pageant being held in Atlantic City this week. Miss Schaefer is ever to get engaged while still a reigning Miss. Mr. Lurie, a former television announcer, plans to enter medical school.
