1969 Press Photo Fireman Joseph Meyers and others battle Boise fire and rain

Boise firemen responded in force Sunday when lightening started a fire in the Allen Steel Supply Company Warehouse. Hundreds of motorists watched the $60,000 blaze send black clouds of smoke skyward from burning asphalt in a steady rain. The warehouse was destroyed. Struggling with hose in foreground is Boise fireman Joseph Meyers.
