Senator Eugene McCarthy, D-MN, talks to reporters after a top level briefing today on the crisis in the Middle East. In answer to a question, McCarthy said he didn't know of any proposal for a test by force against Egypt's proclaimed blockade of Israel's outlet to the Red S.A. Senate leaders and members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee were briefed by Vice President Hubert Humphrey, Secretary of State Dean Rusk and Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara.
