Archbishop Makarios, the President of Cyprus, walks down the line of troops at Washington National Airport today as he reviews the honor guard during welcoming ceremonies on his arrival for a two-day visit. Accompanying him are President Kennedy and Lt. Colonel Charles P. Murray, Jr., of the Army's 3rd Infantry, troop commander.
