Description
Bill MacDonald, 54, a millionaire Miami Beach sports promoter, has lost more money on sporting events in the past decade than most men earn in a lifetime. The owner of a minor league baseball team, a stable of horses and nearly half of Tropical Park race track, shrugs off his losses with the explanation, "I'm just goofy." MacDonald, who recently put up $650,000 dollars to ring the Liston-Clay championship boxing match to Miami Beach, was once a $35 dollar per week Chicago cab driver.

Photo is dated 1961.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
