1950 Press Photo Soviet delegate Jacob Malik takes notes at Security Council

Soviet Delegate Jacob Malik (L) takes notes at Council table while listening to Britain's Sir Gladwyn Jebb (R) at stormy session of Security Council 11/30.Malik later used Russia's 47th, 48th & 49th vetoes to block an order to Communist China to get out of Korea immediately. Prior to Malik's vetoes, Council beat down two Communist resolutions demanding that U.S. forces withdraw from Korea and Formosan area.
