1951 Press Photo Russia's Jacob Malik with reporters prior boarding SS Gripsholm

Jacob A. Malik, Sovie Russia's chief delegate to the UN, talks to reporters here 7/6 before boarding the SS Gripsholm for vacation trip back to Russia. The Russian diplomat extended "best luck and wishes to those in this country who fight for peace and friendship between our two countries." Malik left a "capitalistic fashion" taking with him 10 huge crates which ship workers said contained American television sets and refrigerators.
