Lt. Governor Lester Maddox Sunday accused Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter of making a "diabolical" deal with certain Capitol officials to get his government reorganization bill passed. Maddox read from a 16-page, handwritten statement at an unusual Sunday evening news conference called by the former Georgia governor.
