Smiling Archbishop Makarios, President of strife-troubled Cyprus, leaves after his Christmas Day meeting with British High Commissioner Sir Arthur Clark in Nicosia. Sir Arthur had returned to Cyprus from London on Christmas Eve as Britain ordered more troops to Cyprus today, the clashes died down and eased a threat of fighting between two NATO allies.
