Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate Randolph T. Major, Jr., 39, of Westminster West, took to skiis Friday in Burlington on his hike from northern to southern Vermont, after a blizzard left more than a foot of snow. The hike is part of his campaign to win the Senate seat held now by Robert Stafford who was appointed interim senator after the death of Winston L. Prouty.
