William Manchester is author of the book "The Death of a President," the publication of which Mrs. John F. Kennedy apparently tried to block yesterday by serving a summons on Look Magazine and Harper & Row publishers in New York. Mrs. Kennedy chose Manchester to record events of the assassination "in the interest of accuracy" but later was reported disturbed by the use of some of her personal recollections in the book. Look Magazine editor-in-chief William Atwood said the magazine was going ahead with plans to serialize the book. This is a 1964 photo.
