Rugged terrain with many craters is revealed in this picture of Mars returned to Jet Propulsion Laboratory tonight by Mariner 7. The picture is the fifth in the near encounter series, although the data block at right calls it No. 6, the result of a computer "glitch," Dark streak paralleling the top is not a feature of the terrain but rather a residual image left on the television tube by the previous pictures.
