1973 Press Photo India's Guru Maharaj Ji driven in flowered car from NY airport

Guru Maharaj Ji, a 15-year-old spiritual leader from India, is driven away from New York's Kennedy airport in a car covered with about 500 flowers, Sunday night. About 500 members of the Divine Light movement greeted the Guru, or perfect master, upon his arrival from London. A spokesman for the Guru said there are six million followers in the movement throughout the world.
