Cleveland newspaperman Robert Manry waves back to crowd lining shore at Falmouth, England to greet his last night as his 13 1/2-foot sailboat Tinkerbelle is towed to dock. The 47-year old Manry was completing his 3,200-mile solo voyage across the Atlantic from Plymouth, Massachusetts; a voyage that began on June 1 in the smallest sailboat known to have made the eastward Atlantic crossing nonstop.

Photo is dated 1965.

Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
