McCormack, Jr., gestures as he announced his candidacy at press conference in state house today for democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Kennedy. The announcement set stage for expected battle with President Kennedy's younger brother Edward (Ted) just turned 30 years old and expected to seek same office. McCormack, 38, is nephew of national house speaker John W. McCormack.
