Senator Jacob Javits, R-NY, tells a news conference today that Congress should trust the President to determine how long the pause in the bombing of North Vietnam should continue. The Senator, who spent six days in South Vietnam, renewed his previous calls for a full-fledged congressional debate on Vietnam policy and a joint inquiry by Senate Foreign Relations and Armed Services Committees into all points of dissent.
