Senator Edward M. Kennedy, D-MA. traverses a slope at Snowbird Ski Resort, in the Wasatch Mountains east of Salt Lake City, Saturday. Kennedy, his wife Joan and three children arrived here from Sun Valley, Idaho, where they had been since Tuesday. Kennedy said he came to Utah because there wasn't enough snow at the Idaho resort, but had said at Sun Valley he was limiting himself to cross-country skiing to avoid crossing picket lines of striking ski bus drivers. Kennedy skied Saturday with his sons Patrick and Ted, Jr., who had a leg amputated and skis on a single, specially-designed ski.

Photo is dated 1975.
