Chris Lee, daughter of the late Manfred Lee, one of the men who wrote as Ellery Queen, talked about her dad in an interview recently. "Dad was fairly dominant personality in is own home...A great premium was placed on intellectual competence in our house. Consequently, I think, without meaning to, he scared the hell out of us."
