1976 Press Photo Shotgun-toting police escort Jeffery Lee from office building

Shotgun-toting policemen lead Jeffery Lee, 22, from a state office building today after he is alleged to have fired five rifle bullets at Sherry Lee, his estranged wife. After the shooting Lee held his wounded wife and her supervisor hostage for 40 minutes before surrendering to police. Mrs. Lee is listed in stable condition at the hospital.
