Description
Mr. and Mrs. William Ledford, who have lived most of their married life in a house on the side of a mountain near Spruce Pine in western North Carolina, will celebrate their 81st wedding anniversary on September 8. Ledford is 101 years of age and his wife, Laura is 102. When they moved into the area, they were its only tenants. The community which has grown up around them is appropriately known as Ledford Town.
