1967 Press Photo Bruce Johnson and Shan Quam point to island in South Pacific

Bruce Johnson, a health club physical director, and ex-nurse Shari Quam pose with a calendar advertising the South Pacific before boarding a Pan American airliner in Los Angeles tonight, as they head for a South Pacific island. The two plan to live a Robinson Crusoe like existence on the island, where they plan to make their own tools, hunt and fish for food and build a raft which will eventually take them to Pago Pago.
